New Cats
Snakestar flicked her tail tip and leaped onto a large black stone and called her small Clan together. "New cats," she began, "I welcome you to SnakeClan. Darkshadow, will be our new deputy." She dipped her head to the tom. "Silverlight is our new Medicine Cat, I'm sure she will do well. Our new warriors are Barrenfringe and Moonarrow." Snakestare smiled at the new warriors while the cats that were already here congradulalted them. "Also, we have new apprentices. Firepaw, Shadowedpaw, and Rosepaw." She looked at the kits with a smile, "Firepaw shall be mentored by Darkshadow., Rosepaw by Lizardtail, and Shadowedpaw byTigerstripes." THe mentors and apprentices touched snouts. Snakestar looked up at the whole Clan. "Welcome new cats, Meeting dismissed!"

Darkshadow dipped his head respectfully.
ReplyDeleteFirepaw and Rosepaw looked at their mentors. Firepaw padded over to Darkshadow while Rosepaw hesitated slightly.
Silentplight blinked once, then turned and padded over to her new den without making eye contact.

Shadowedpaw stretched his chest to the ground, extending his forepaws, before padding over to the cat called Tigerstripes.
"Hi."he waved his tail lazily in greeting.

Barrenfringe twitched one paw in the dirt, his gray eyes darting back and forth uneasily.

Moonarrow smiled up at Snakestar and felt a exited shiver run down her spine at her name. Moonarrow! How cool!

Tigerstripes smiled, "Hello Shadowedpaw, would you like to go training today?"
ReplyDeleteSnakestar smiled at Moonarrow, "I see you're pleased with your name?" She said as if she had read the young she-cat's mind and she chuckled, "My warrior name was Snakevenom, StarClan gave it to me as a young rogue and then they told me to create this Clan."
Shadowpaw brightened.
ReplyDelete"Should you have to ask?" he meowed in an enthusiastic tone.

Moonarrow nodded shyly, realizing Snakestar was a very important cat in this clan.
"Well...I was a kitty-pet, so for my whole life I've been known as Moon." She confessed.

Snakestar amiled at Moonarrow, welcomeing her warmly, "I think Moon is a great name foir a Kitty-pet, unlike Fluffy and Fuzzy and all that business."
ReplyDeleteTigerstripes loved how enthusiastic his apprentice was, "Well then, I think we'll go over what battle moves you iknow first, then I'll show you the territory."
Moonarrow nodded." I had friends named Spoof, Harlem and Blade." She thought for a moment."they dont seem to bad, except for maybe Spoof" She purred at the thought of the clumsy tom and suddenly felt homesick.

"I don't know this place, so i can't go charging off. I guess ill follow you."

Snakestar smiled and felt Moonarrow
ReplyDeletes homesickness, "It's okay. A Clanlife is better than a kitty-pet one." She mewed.
Tigerstripes smiled and looked at the camp, "You already know the camp, now follow me to the forest. (is too lazy to make posts)

ReplyDeleteMoonarrow shrugged. "Maybe. I just got here,but unless you've lived with twolegs you can't really understand the joys of it..." She brightened."But im here now, and it's where i chose to be." She meowed cheerfully.

Shadowedpaw followed Tigerstripes into the forest, his eyes growing wide with awe. "This is where we live?"

Tigerstipes smiled and nodded, "Yes, tis is where we live, Luckily we chased out any rogue that lived here."
ReplyDeleteSnakestar smiled and flicked her tail on Moonarrow's shoulder, "Yes, I guess that's all that matters."
Shadowedpaw nodded. "yeah, we don't want to share precious prey with a bunch of rude, mangy rouges!" He reared up and slashed his forepaws in the air before dropping to the ground again.

"if you don't mind me asking, Snakestar, where did you come from?" There was no accusation in her voice, just curiosity.

Snakestar flicked her ear, "Oh... I was a loner with my brother and sister, then I met Tigerstripes."
ReplyDeleteTigerstripes smiled and purred, "Yes, we don't want that happeneing, do we?"
Moonarrow flicked her tail. "yeah....sometimes loners would come and spend the night in our tool shed....most were pretty nice though."

Shadowedpaw stretched. "What did you say about battle moves?" he meowed with his eyes closed, breathing a sigh of relief as the stretch ceased.

Snakestar smiled and nodded, "Loners, yes, they are usually very nice. But, as the Clans' history says. a loner named Sol almost ended the ancient Clans. But it's rogues we must fear most."

Moonarrow sat, her long plumy tail swishing in the dust.
ReplyDelete"Yeah, and how the kitty-pet Rusty became the great Firestar? Lots of kitty-pets know that story."
Shadowedpaw mimicked his mentor, flexing his claws before sheathing them again. He raced at his mentor, but at the last second he ducked down and rolled to one side, pushing back on his hind paws and wrapping his forepaws around Tigerstripes neck while biting gently on the fur next to his skin.

Tigerstripes smiled and flipped over sending Shadowdedpaw into the dust, "Excellent," he panted, "Great speed and timing, especially for our first battle trainging."
